The New Nature of Design – DuaraLab
Our action is an exhibition showcasing the results of the ‘Exploring and Applying Biomaterials’ bootcamp, with the spotlight on the techniques and processes tried out during the four sessions of the activity.
Materials prepared using natural biomaterials — bacterial cellulose, gelatine/alginate, plant cellulose — and their combinations are on display, reflecting the creative process from growing to the final transformation.
We want everybody to experience and understand this process, as we show that biomaterials offer many opportunities for innovation and applicability in professional and personal spheres. One of the main goals is to raise awareness and provide information on the real potential of those materials, by fostering a more sustainable and aware relationship with the environment.
The exhibition is an invitation to discover and touch those materials, to foster dialogue between design, science and nature, and to show that the future of creativity can be environmentally friendly.
