Bideotikan Workshops II

Biedotikan Workshop Sabina

Bideotikan Workshops is the festival's training and mediation space, where art and technology meet to be experienced firsthand. Through practical workshops led by renowned artists, the audience can delve into disciplines such as creative coding, generative art, 3D design, and real-time visuals. A place to learn by doing, share processes, and discover new forms of creation at the intersection of digital art and audiovisual experimentation.

This workshop offers a practical introduction to creating real-time visuals synchronized with the audio and tempo of your sessions in Ableton Live 12, using Max for Live and Jitter. You will learn to program reactive 3D animations and images that integrate seamlessly into musical performances.

Throughout the day, the foundations will be laid for sound and visual artists to incorporate generative visual language into their live performances. No prior programming experience is required.

Sabina Covarrubias (Mexico City, 1977) is a composer, multimedia artist, and academic specializing in real-time computational and visual music. Her work combines musical composition, interactive visual design, and programming, with an interdisciplinary approach that ranges from visual music to experimental electronics.

Required equipment: Laptop with Ableton Live 12 installed. This software can be downloaded for free with a 30-day trial period.
