This is Basque Design, Azkuna Zentroa's project to promote local design, will be organising a new edition of This is Basque Design Merkatua in November. The event will display products from the thirty or so members of this creative community based in the Centre´s store, dendAZ, in the Atrio de la Alhóndiga. Fashion, jewellery, decoration, accessories, toys, books, illustrations, stationery, etc.

A diverse range of products that share an understanding of production based on craftsmanship and sustainability. This ecosystem is currently comprised of Aerre Design, Ailanto, Amakuyi, Ane Pikaza, Angélica Barco, ANTI Liburudenda, BaRock Jewerly, Cookplay, Dots and Roots, Elena Ciordia, Ezkexa, Fournier, Fran Mengual, FTBCWL, H05, Higi Vandis, Josune Urrutia, Katxi Klothing, Kiribiltxo, Kostako, KreativeArt, Loitz Cerámica, Malús Arbide, Mario Gaztelu, Mess19, MRLASPIUR, Nerea Gómez, Palopalú, SKFK, Susana Blasco, The Real Studio, Tytti Thusberg, Yolanda Sánchez, Ziriak and Zioru.

At This is Basque Design Merkatua there is also space for new talent. An invitation will be sent for interested parties to present their projects at the event.

The three-day event also presents a unique opportunity to get to know first-hand the personal and professional projects behind each firm, which are committed to innovation and artistic experimentation from an ecological perspective. Similarly, the public will have the opportunity to participate in such processes via various workshops to be held throughout the weekend.
