Bideotikan Workshops I

Bideotikan workshop Ana

Hydra is a ‘Live Coding’ video and environment synthesiser designed by the artist and programmer Olivia Jack, and which operates on a browser. It is free software and is designed for beginners and experts alike.

Its syntax draws on modular and analogue video synthesis, where visuals are generated by interconnecting signals with different transformations.

The workshop will last 6 hours and students only need to bring a laptop with internet connection that will be provided from the centre. Documentation, references and base code will be provided during the workshop to facilitate learning.

Ana Herce is an architect and digital artist specialising in live coding and generative visuals. She has taken part in residencies and projects where experimenting with sound and video becomes a tool to explore the phenomenology of the urban environment.

Her approach combines architectural research, audiovisual experimenting and digital tools to create immersive experiences.
