Halfway between a science fair and an art festival, the Bilbao Creative Technologies International Festival Maker Faire seeks to bring the potential of creative technologies to a wide range of fields, from the Cultural and Creative Industries sector to scientific profiles, the education sector and the general public.
The 2024 edition of the Maker Faire Bilbao will host a programme of professional workshops aimed at profiles from the creative, cultural and design sectors, focused on helping them to introduce the use of creative technologies in their projects, technology and creative electronics workshops for families, as well as other activities throughout the 10 days of the festival, including the presentation of the Maker Ekintzaile creative residencies, and an interactive exhibition open to the public, among other projects.
Maker Faire Bilbao is organised by the Espacio Open Cultural Centre, located in the old Artiach Factory, Zorrotzaurre. Espacio Open works at the intersection of contemporary culture, open technologies and social innovation to generate a positive impact on the environment.
